Before You Begin
What you need to get started: system requirements, accounts, and recommended knowledge.
Before you start this course, let us make sure you have everything ready. This page lists the things you need and the things you should already know.
You are in good company 💡
Throughout this course you will meet two friendly examples, Corraina and MarshyLockhart. We will use their names in sample tasks, contacts, and reminders so the examples feel real. Whenever you see them, imagine you are building something useful for people just like them — or for yourself!
System Requirements
- Computer:Windows 10 (64-bit) or later. Both Intel (x64) and ARM64 are supported.
- Memory:At least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended for a smooth experience).
- Disk Space:About 500 MB of free space for the Antigravity app.
- Browser:Google Chrome is required. Antigravity uses Chrome to open, test, and preview the apps you build. You can install it for free from google.com/chrome.
Internet Connection
You need a stable internet connection. Antigravity uses cloud-based AI models (like Google Gemini) to understand your prompts and generate code. Without internet, the AI features will not work.
A regular home broadband or Wi-Fi connection is enough. A speed of about 5 Mbps or more gives the smoothest experience. You do not need a very fast connection.
Important ⚠️
Antigravity requires a live internet connection at all times while you are building apps. Make sure you are not behind a company firewall that blocks Google services.
What You Will Need
- 1A Google Account (Gmail). If you do not have one, you can create one for free at accounts.google.com.
- 2A computer that meets the system requirements listed above.
- 3About 2 hours and 45 minutes of total time to complete all modules (you can do them at your own pace).
- 4A willingness to experiment and try new things!
No coding needed 💡
You do not need any experience with coding, programming, or software development. This course is designed for complete beginners. If you can type an email and use a web browser, you have all the skills you need.
